Interview with
Flt/Lt Richard Armstrong RAFVR
When the "Association" was approached around the end of 2003 by Brian Wolfe Film Productions for a veteran or two to take part in a documentary film they were making called "Typhoon at War" no one could be found to sit in front of the cameras, then, thankfully, Richard Armstrong, not being so camera shy, bravely stepped forward and said he would do it.
This interview extract is taken from the subsequent original sound track of "Typhoon at War" which we believe is still available on DVD.
Completing some sixty operational sorties with 198 before being shot down during June 1944 and taken Prisoner of War Richard currently lives in Northumberland.
