THE ASSOCIATION OF
198 SQUADRON RAF PILOTS & GROUND CREWS

Based in Hampshire, England, "The Association of 198 Squadron RAF Pilots & Ground Crews" was originally formed in 2002 as a way of bringing together former Squadron personnel and recording their memories and recollections for posterity. Originally there were fourteen members but sadly this number has slowly dwindled away to six, by March 2008, as some have since passed away.

From the time of its formation "Association" members have taken part in several documentary television films and contributed to various books and other historical media regarding 198 Squadron RAF.
Their combined knowledge of the Squadron and its activities has on occasions dispelled some official errors and historical myths surrounding it that have often been presented as facts.

ENQUIRIES - PLEASE NOTE

As an "Association" we represent only those veterans known to us who served with 198 Squadron RAF and not the Squadron itself. Any enquiries regarding the Squadron should therefore be addressed to the "Air Historical Branch" of the Royal Air Force, as the official body for it.

In our quest to record and preserve as much information and material as possible regarding the Squadron we are always pleased to receive any documentation, material, and photographs that are relevant to it which should be sent to the following address, as should any other matter arising that is specific to the "Association".
