ARCHIVES

Within these "Archive" pages can be found a selection of brief comments made about 198 and flying the Hawker Typhoon along with more general ones regarding film and restorations. The loss of Reginald Thursby as seen in a communication by Sq/Ldr Y. Ezanno at the time is included as is that of a relative of Flt/Sgt Thursby's sixty years later on.

Flying the Hawker Typhoon for the very first time and the problems of using it in combat are also covered against a background of Squadron activities.

Finally, a list of all those personnel known to have served with 198 between December 1942 and September 1945, but the list is probably not complete.
